Personal service & Attention to Detail
Our attention to detail and personal service is of utmost importance for our guests and is highly regarding as an important element of the Powder N Shine experience.
There are not many locations in the alps where you can benefit from high altitude, 2000m, piste-side beautiful village in the Three Valleys! Not only is it a huge draw for our guest, but our staff benefit greatly from maximising their time on the pistes.

Steve and Francesca live and breathe the Alpine life and are very much instrumental to the daily running of Powder N Shine along with support from a Resort Manager. Steve and Francesca take huge amount of pride in meeting and greeting every guest that walks through the Powder N Shine doors to not only be present from a guest perspective, but also to provide support to the Powder N Shine team.

Over 70% of guests return to Powder N Shine every year due to our dedication in providing superb cuisine and personal service. Every year we aim to exceed our guests expectations even if they have been staying with us year after year
A Typical Day in the Job
7am: Arrive at your chalet (your accommodation is either in chalet or within 1 minute walk away!)
7am-8am: Breakfast preparation, start food prep and afternoon tea
8am-9am: Breakfast service
9am-10.30/11am: Continue food prep
11am-5pm: Free time
5pm: Return to chalet for high tea for any children you have
6pm: Continue food prep for dinner service
7pm: Aperitifs and Canapes service
7.30pm onwards: Service of a 4-course evening meal with paired wines, followed by tea and coffee. Kitchen closedown and cleaning for evening
Who are we looking for?
You will hold a recognised Catering qualification such as NVQ and City and Guilds Chef Qualification along with extensive kitchen experience. (Level 3 required)
Fine dining experience is essential and preferably Michelin star restaurant experience
Excellent social skills to deal with people from all walks of life of all ages and often families with children
Uncompromising standards of hygiene and professionalism – HACCP hygiene certificate is a must
The ability to bring ideas to the menus and also be able to multi task by dealing with different dietary requirements
A love and passion for food and cooking is an absolute must – We pride ourselves on serving the best quality meals of which we have a good reputation
All applicants must be in possession of an EU passport or work permit for the UK and an existing permanent UK National Insurance number. Due to motor insurance requirements, only applicants over 21 years of age will be considered – there is no maximum age limit.
