The job description
a typical day in resort

At Ski Miquel you are only required to prepare breakfast (rota shared with Hosts), afternoon tea, canapes and a 3 course evening meal served at 8pm.

After a couple of hours prepping in the morning it's off to ski or board for the day before returning at around four to light up the ovens, have a shower and preparing everything for the evening meal.

The 3 course evening meal is a set menu (as set out by the Ski Miquel Cookbook) and served at 8pm, thereafter you will help the chalet hosts clear down after service before having a well earned beer at the bar in the chalet. You will only work 6 days a week and you will not be required to prepare lunch for guests.

Depending on the chefs capabilities and organisational skills, most of our chefs are able to spend around 4-5 hours on the mountain daily.

Who are we looking for?
what makes you the ideal candidate

- MUST HAVE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE EUROPEAN UNION. (Valid EU passport or appropriate working visa)
- Qualified chef (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- Experience in ordering and stock-taking
- Catering experience
- Ability to cook for 25-35 guests each evening

This job would suit recently qualified or experienced chefs who are looking for a fun season in the mountains. They should be hard working and wanting to be a member of a close friendly team. The applicant should have a can do attitude, prepared to help others and work with a smile on their faces.
