The focus of the company is twofold:

1. To deliver high quality internet and IT solutions to clients in the UK, France and other locations
2. To develop and grow the Skinets.com sites offerings

The business is broken down into the following units:

1. Website creation: produce high quality, bespoke websites for clients in the UK and France
2. Web Applications: specialist tools for travel businesses including bespoke reservation systems for holiday companies, ski shop online reservation systems, transfer companies solutions, and many more.
3. Skinets.com: a group of resort based online magazines for the major ski resorts based in the French Alps, producing and publishing ski content, both written and visual, as well as providing useful information for visitors to these destinations. The sites derive revenue from the sales of advertising to businesses based in these resorts
4. Hardware & Software solutions: provide and install hardware & software for clients including: Internet-call telephone solutions (‘VoIP’); hosted, shared Email solutions; and networking / shared files solutions
5. Search engine & website optimisation

There currently exists a position for a full-time employee responsible for the content management and freelance staff management for the Skinets.com sites. The focus of this role will be to manage the quality of the content on the Skinets.com, schedule and organise the coverage of events in the Alps and organise freelance workers from a far.

This role will primarily be based overseas, for the first six months at least in our Chamonix office. The ideal candidate will have experience of the tour operator environment and have a firm grounding in the travel industry; an editorial &/or project management / managerial background; would be highly motivated & organised, be able to work as part of a team without the requirement of constant supervision, taking personal responsibility for their performance to ensure standards are met; be friendly & out-going, to be able to interact personably with clients and visitors both face to face and on the telephone, having excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English.

The candidate must be able to communicate well in French, both in written form and verbally - Spanish would also of interest, and have a good understanding of the use of IT systems in an office environment; knowledge of the web would be an advantage. Whilst the position is geared towards the current resorts covered by Skinets.com the development plan includes further expansion into other tourism destinations. It is anticipated that the right candidate’s role would increase to cover Skinets.com business development following a successful winter season.

As part of the role the candidate must be prepared to accept occasional additional responsibilities and flexible working hours and travel, at certain times of the year. Full driving license, NI number and be prepared to relocate to the Alps are a necessity.
