We produce high quality chalet chefs, chalet cooks and chalet hosts allowing you to gain the best ski season jobs in the Alps. You will learn to cook gourmet food for large numbers on a tight budget & gain the CIEH Food Hygiene Level 2 Award.
You will also learn hosting & housekeeping skills. The head Chef Simon is an experienced trainer, and with over 10 years experience in the ski industry he is the perfect mentor to teach all the vital skills needed for a successful season in the Alps.
We also help prepare you for interviews and introduce you to our contacts in the industry so you can find your perfect job. The week ends with a series of interviews from local chalet employers and larger ski companies and hopefully a job offer!
A full day will be given over to the CIEH Food Hygiene Level 2 Award. This qualification may not be a necessity, but in this day and age of liability, safety is more and more qualification based. This award is recognised throughout the EU.
We will also equip you with a folder of information which will include all the recipes covered in the course as well as other helpful aids such as budgeting spread sheets and time planners.
The courses are intense as there is a lot to learn, but each evening does finish with a dinner party prepared by the students that ensures everyone gets a chance to relax and let their hair down.
