Simon Butler Skiing is a leading instructional ski specialist with over 28 years experience providing winter holidays, and we require two chefs to compliment our team. We specialise in providing great service and customer care as well as fantastic ski instruction to all levels and ages. We are an independently run company that owns two large chalethotels. Not only do we care for our guests, but we care that our staff have an enjoyable and memorable season as well.
Last season 93% of our guests had holidayed with us before or had been recommended to try Simon Butler Skiing by their friends and colleagues and it is the personal touches from our staff that have helped keep this percentage so high.
We are looking for people who may have had experience in the finer end of catering or experienced time in the pastry section who would get excited about cooking seasonal European food using top quality French ingredients. Our new candidates would have the pleasure of working alongside our head chef who has a great love of food – he is looking for someone special who has a positive, friendly and genuine attitude, who is team focused with a character that impresses. The chef’s responsibilities include preparing breakfast, afternoon tea and helping with a three course evening meal for up to 50 guests to a very high standard. When considering applicants we take particular note of qualifications and experience as well as a cheerful, friendly and confidant personality. Excellent organisational skills and team work are essential.
We offer an attractive weekly wage including full board accommodation, a season’s lift pass and plenty of time on the slopes to use it, insurance and the use of skis and boots for the season. All staff can join in ski lessons for free as a great perk of the job. You have a comprehensive pre-season training course as well as transport to and from the resort at the beginning and end of the season.
To be considered you must be physically fit and smart in appearance, with enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as part of a close-knit team.
