Ski Bonjour, having expanded this season to five catered chalets, has recently changed it’s name from Ski Tignes les Brev to reflect the fact that we now operate not just in Tignes but also Val d’Isère and La Plagne.
We are a privately owned family company, very hands on, with one owner managing the operations in France and the other in the UK.
Our chalets include our Flagship, the Bonjour-Bonjour in Tignes les Brévières, the Bonjour-Colettine in Tignes les Brévières, our newest acquisition the Bonjour-Lo Soli also in Tignes les Brévières, the Bonjour-Bivouac in Val d’Isère and the Bonjour-Versoye in Montchavin La Plagne.
We have established a reputation as a top quality operator, with our chalets being highly praised on Trip Advisor. In particular, the quality of our food is always mentioned.
We need a couple to run our new Bonjour-Lo Soli chalet. The chalet is small – it can take groups of up to 8 adults or family groups of 6 adults and up to 6 children.
It is critical that one or both applicants have had experience of quality cooking for large groups, as your responsibilities will include preparing a cooked breakfast, afternoon tea (home made cakes etc.) and dinner on 6 days per week. This must be done to a weekly budget and you will do your own food shopping for the chalet. You can choose your own menus, which we will check and agree with you. You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests are pampered, catered for and looked after in every way during their stay. You will also be responsible for all cleaning, bed changing and tidying the chalet.
Your working day will be from 7.30am to 11.30am and 6.00pm to 9.30pm minimum each day, for 6 days per week. The job includes accommodation, food, whole area lift pass, health and mountain insurance and transport to and from the UK. You will be part of a great team of 11, who look after our chalets in Tignes les Brévières. Many of them party hard and all of them spend lots of time skiing or snow-boarding. They all also work very, very hard.
It is absolutely essential that you both have outgoing personalities. You will be with our guests for much of the day/night, as the chalet kitchen/dining/sitting room is open plan and you will be expected to dine with the guests at night. You must be the type of person whose glass is always half full and be able to smile your way through even the busiest of weeks and the toughest of situations. You must also have a love of mountain life and snow sports in general.
