The Salary : 100€ per week paid monthly in arrears, holiday pay and bonus scheme
Firstly our location. We are not only piste side but we are also sandwiched between the two main chairlifts in Vallandry. Secondly our prices. Our holidays include return coach travel from the UK which allows us to remain competitive even during the peak holiday season. Finally our product. We are a small friendly company we can, therefore, be flexible in our bookings and tailor our packages to meet our guest's needs.
A Typical Day in the Job
At 7.30 am for 6 days of the week provide a hot breakfast to up to 50 guests and staff. With the assistance of chalet hosts prepare a 3-course evening meal with provision for dietary requirements ( vegetarian's, allergies and children's meals)
Provide a cake or its equivalent for guest afternoon tea daily.
Daily cleaning tasks, food and fridge checks completed and documented
Stock rotation, checks and shopping lists maintained
Daily liaison over dietary requirements with guests and Manager
Afternoon free for skiing
At 5pm preparation of staff meal for 6pm and guest dinner service at 7.30pm . Clean down kitchen and oversee the disposal of kitchen waste and recycling.
Who are we looking for?
A cook with the confidence to oversee all resort catering with chalet Manager's assistance and to maintain a high standard of food service.
Work with other kitchen staff to prepare and provide meal service throughout the chalet and any additional accommodation.
Work in a safe manner to ensure high levels of hygiene and cleaning standards maintained throughout kitchen and dining areas.
Control and rotate food stock levels, check all food deliveries and assist when required with shopping.
Organise the provision of packed lunches.
On changeover day, help out where required.
