with Ski Magic
|Child Care France|
|France, Three Valleys|
We know it’s important to make sure our team is well supported to have a really great season. As a small team (just over 20), we’re on hand to ensure that happens!
We’re lucky to have several returning team members each year, and that’s something our guests recognise too.
You'll get plenty of ski time as we make sure that your working hours are kept to a minimum, with support and ongoing training.
A Typical Day in the Job
The Magic Snowflake Club runs for 5 days per week, and children are enrolled either for full days (usually younger) or half days (usually older and in ski school). You’ll work closely within the team as you’ll look after the children in the chalets. We have two nannies in La Tania and we ensure you have a weekly day off with the rest of the Ski Magic team and can take part in team activities!
Safety is of utmost importance, so record-keeping and regular checks are an essential part of the role. You’ll need to prepare information for each child in your care during the week.
If younger children are in full daycare, you’ll meet them at the chalet at 08.45. If you’re looking after children in ski school, you’ll collect them from ski school at 11.45.
During the mornings, you’ll have planned some fun activities appropriate for the ages of the children, using the resources available. Getting out and about with the children is important, and you can take them up on the bubble lift, to the soft play area on the bus, out for a stroll in the buggy, or just mess about in the snow! You’ll also need to start preparing lunch in the chalet.
If picking up from ski school, you’ll collect the children, possibly carrying the younger ones skis etc, and take them back to the chalet for lunch.
You’ll prepare, cook and serve a simple lunch to your group of children in the chalet, then clear up afterwards.
Quiet time after lunch will give younger children time to nap, and older children a chance to relax after they’ve skied their little socks off all morning! Once everyone has their energy back, there’s time for some more activities or craft sessions before the parents arrive at 17.00.
