A Typical Day in the Job
Come-ski are looking for an imaginitive and qualified chef to join them for the ski season in La Tania, France. You will have the freedom to create a full weekly menu to include breakfast, afternoon tea and a 5 course evening meal, adapting the menu to cater for the individual requirements of you guests.
Each day starts with preparing and serving breakfast for your chalet guests. This includes a continental breakfast, and a hot option, cooked to order. The morning is a good time to get prepped and organised for the evening meal, and to ensure the chalet is left clean and tidy, and that afternoon tea is layed out, before you hit the slopes!
The evening meal is served at around 19:30, so you will need to return to the chalet in plenty of time to ensure you are ready for action! Drinks and canapés are served in the lounge, before the guests are seated for their exquisite evening meal to include pre-starter, starter, main course, palate cleanser, cheese and dessert. Coffee and petit fours are then served in the lounge by the roaring fire.
The chef role is hard-work but very rewarding, and gives you the opportunity to experiment with food, plating and styling in your own kitchen environment. We don't give you a set menu, so you are free to get creative and cook the food that excites you!
Who are we looking for?
You will need a recognised catering qualification, experience to atleast AA rosette level, and lots of passion and flair!
