A Typical Day in the Job
The role of chalet host is hard-work, but very rewarding. The day starts at around 7am, where you will ensure that the chalet is clean and presentable for the clients, the breakfast table is layed, and you are ready to help the chef serve breakfast.
You will interact with the clients, be friendly and courteous at all times.
Once the guests have hit the slopes it is time for the daily clean of the bedrooms, and guest spaces, and to help the chef in cleaning down the kitchen and clearing away the breakfast items.
Before you enjoy some mountain time, you will need to lay the table for afternoon tea.
On your return to the chalet you will clear away afternoon tea, ensure guests have all that they need (serve drinks etc.), light the fire, and start laying for the evening meal. You will help the chef in any way that is required and serve drinks and canapés at around 7pm. You will need to serve the evening meal, which is 4-6 courses, and then serve coffee and petit fours in the lounge.
At the end of service ensure that all is clean and tidy.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in the hospitality industry, in waitressing/house-keeping. Previous seasonal experience is desirable.
