We are a small, independent, owner-operated chalet company which is a fact not lost on our guests. Our guests book with us initially, then return year after year because they receive our undivided attention from the moment they arrive. We are on hand every day to support our chalet staff so that they can concentrate on providing first-class food and service with their own flair!
We are not only dedicated to making sure our guests enjoy the mountains, but we also want to enjoy them too! It is the reason we set up our business after all!
We realise that you will want to ski and snowboard as much as possible, and so we not only provide a full 3 Valleys lift pass for you but we will be in the chalet alongside you as much as possible to help you make the most of your season with us!
A Typical Day in the Job
We are looking for talented and enthusiastic chalet couples to produce interesting and varied cuisine and provide exceptional service to our guests in our beautiful chalets, Chalet Broski and Chalet Alpage.
Responsibilities include providing breakfast, afternoon tea and a wonderful 3-course evening meal, complete with canapés and aperitifs 5 days a week. You’ll be organized and will excel with the opportunity to showcase your skills our chalets!
A typical day:
07:15 – Arrive at the chalet to begin laying out breakfast, consisting of a full continental plus a different hot option each day.
08:00-10:00 – Serve breakfast to guests before they head out for the day. Make afternoon tea cake and begin preparing for the evenings dinner service. Leave afternoon tea laid out for guests to help themselves to.
10:00-11:00 - Full chalet clean.
11:00-17:00 – Leave the chalet to shred the pow!
17:00 – Return to the chalet and begin prep for children’s high tea to be served at 18:00 (if applicable). You will move the children upstairs before preparing the dining room for the adult dinner service.
19:30 – Canapés and aperitifs
20:00 – Dinner service: 3 courses, free flowing specially selected red and white wine followed coffee
Who are we looking for?
Applicants must be fluent in English, have a UK National Insurance number and bank account, must be keen to ski or snowboard and one of you must have a clean driving license. Positions suit couples only as accommodation is a self-contained apartment with double bed.
Preferably have restaurant experience (although not essential) including menu planning. We want to share your passion for fabulous food with our guests. Have a can-do attitude and a flexible, adaptable approach to your catering. Be keen to ski or snowboard.
You will be working to our 5 day chalet menu with plenty of training on all dishes before the season starts.
