Our fully equipped ClubHotels, of which we have five, are situated within some of the most idyllic settings in the world. Being of such close proximity to the slopes, the snowy mountains are literally on your doorstep. You can take full advantage of the skiing facilities whether that be to chillax after work or catch a slice of exhilaration prior to your day ahead. Not only that, we also collaborate with third party hotels and our resorts are fully staffed by Equity; we ensure that all employees uphold the best customer service and respect for their fellow colleagues. We pride ourselves on running a variety of operations to the highest standards such as full season, peak season, summer season, tours and WW1 packages. Our main duty is to provide enriching and inspiring experiences for school groups so that each child has fond memories of their time with Equity. We also supply Rocket Ski holidays for any guests who have a passion for skiing – these trips are bespoke and tailor made to cater for each individual need. We support the notion that the wellbeing of our customers as well as our employees are equally important.
A Typical Day in the Job
You will have the desire to learn, assisting with weekly stock takes and be aware of the importance of minimising wastage, maximising profit and catering for special dietary requirements. We like to push our staff to deliver the best and enjoy challenging people to achieve the best. As such you will take on a high level of responsibility from the start, learning how to deliver our menus to the highest standard and having the opportunity to take charge on the head chef’s night off. We deliver a first class training and development program throughout your employment with us and many of our Head chefs started off this way.
Who are we looking for?
Person Specification and Skills:
- Experience of cooking to a similar level in a hotel or restaurant kitchen and covering alone in absence of a Head Chef
- Level 2 health & hygiene and level 1 health and safety an advantage
- Experience of having to cater for special dietary requirements
- Passionate about food and the hospitality/ski industry
- Good communication skills
- Previous supervisory experience
- Competent and enthusiastic
- Positive and self-motivated
- Hands-on approach
Essential – Level 1 Health and Hygiene, previous catering and supervisory experience.
Desirable – Level 2 Health and Hygiene (Intermediate).
