A Typical Day in the Job
Being part of our Santa's Lapland team is all about having a passion and love for Christmas.
Along with this, you will have to opportunity to experience many aspects of the Lappish culture from husky sledding, reindeer spotting, snowmobiling, as well as searching for the natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights which normally make an appearance during the course of the season.
We have a variety of roles available:
Santa’s Lapland Representatives are the face of the company on guests’ arrival so you will be friendly, outgoing, professional, hardworking and conscientious with excellent organisational and communication skills. They are on hand to answer any questions for the guests in our hotels or Christmas Cabins, book any excursions and resolve any issue which may arise whilst ensuring the Santa story is maintained at all times.
Santa’s Lapland Cabin Hosts are handpicked for their ability to host and cook tasty meals for our guests who stay in our traditional log cabins along side their friendly personality ensuring the Santa story is maintained at all times.
Santa’s Lapland Rangers is a very active role which is based outside for most of the day. Rangers will assist the guests during their stay by entertaining the children, escorting the guests to and from the airport and assisting with the operation of our Arctic Circle Centre which includes all the snow and ice activities from ice fishing, sledging, and tandem skiing to husky sled driving.
Santa’s Lapland Elves is a truly magical task and Elves are only ever seen by our guests as Elves (in order to keep the believability). Coming from a performance or acting background will be hugely beneficial as this is a very energetic and lively role which involves playing the character of one of Santa’s Elves in an outside setting.
