skivo is a small, fun and fabulous ski company in the outstanding ski resort of Courchevel Le Praz. Would you like to utilise your skills whilst working in one of our 5 chalets and spending a winter in the 3 Valleys? skivo is waiting to welcome you in one of Europe's best ski resorts.

We are a family run and operated ski chalet business which has been in existence since 1987. We operate 5 chalets all of which are based centrally in the village.

Here at skivo2 we offer our guests an inclusive ski instruction programme as part of our chalet holiday package which is unique in the industry. We also offer our guests top quality service and fabulous food and wines.

Our aim is to ensure our guests have their best skiing holiday ever with the very best British ski coaching in the best ski area in Europe. We have a 95% return guest rate here at skivo2 and many of our staff return year after year too.

The job description
a typical day in resort

You will provide a hot breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and a three course evening meal over 5 days.

Your day will start at 7.30am to prepare for breakfast which is served from 8am -9 am. During breakfast service you will bake the afternoon tea cake and prep for the evening meal. After clearing away breakfast and setting up for afternoon tea you will start evening preparation. Then you are free to enjoy the slopes and make the most of your time off.

Returning to the chalet around 6.00pm you will finalise preparations and conduct evening dinner service.

You will have a Host to assist you throughout morning and evening service.

Our chalet teams work 5 days a week with 2 full days off.

Who are we looking for?
what makes you the ideal candidate

Recognised catering qualification or extensive cooking experience.
Previous hospitality or customer service experience (desirable).
Excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills.
Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene as a minimum (if you do not have a certificate, we can advise where to get one).
Menu planning and design within a budget framework and weekly food shopping for your chalet in the local supermarket.
Ensure that all guests’ dietary needs are pre-planned and catered for.
Ensure the chalet kitchen, dining room and lounge are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Ensure that the highest possible care and level of service is provided to our guests at all times.
Work closely with our resort management team whose jobs it is to ensure our high standards are maintained.
Work as part of a team and demonstrate a flexible approach to your work.
Work well under pressure.
Well presented and punctual at all times.

Ideally, applicants should hold an EU passport, French Carte de Sejuour or working visa.
If you do not we can help you apply for a Visa to work in France but there is a cost attached to this that would be borne by the client.
