a typical day in resort
We are looking for a Resort Assistant to help provide 5-star service to our guests . This is a customer facing role with lots of guest interaction as well as behind the scenes work - cleaning and managing one self-catered chalet, general resort operations and supporting the chalet couple in their role.
The job is varied and divided between
- Guest facing services (driving guests in the company van, helping resolve guest issues, checking on ski school lessons)
- Chalet hosting, cooking breakfast and afternoon teas, general cleaning and you will support our catered chalet team hosting one raclette or pizza evening a week.
- General resort tasks (linen services, wine stock counts, liaison with suppliers etc)
You will need a full clean driving licence, have great front of house or service experience and be comfortable with basic kitchen tasks (cookery qualifications are not essential but preferred).
The ideal candidate is ready to work hard, be adaptable and ready to step up if there are unexpected problems. You must be friendly, polite, professional and have excellent standards of general cleaning. You must also be organised and flexible and very reactive to any guest request or issue.
You will work closely with both the chalet team and the General Operations Manager to provide a 5-star guest experience.
Daily tasks could include hosting breakfast, setting up afternoon tea, cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, hot tub readings, daily temperature readings for fridges and freezers, driving guests to and from ski school meeting points or ski lifts in the company van, help with shopping, liaising with suppliers and guests, snow clearance and basic maintenance (changing lightbulbs etc)
You will also be responsible for the Sunday changeover in our 13 bed self-catering chalet (deep clean, linen, hot tub etc), welcoming our guests and being on hand to help with any issues or problems.
This is a role for someone who is flexible and ready to work hard but we always make sure you will get time to enjoy the mountain and ski resort!
Who are we looking for?

Clean drivers licence and have 2 years experience
EU Passport/Carte de Sejour or the right to work in France
EU bank account
Fluent in English and French
Conscientious, outgoing, sociable, reliable, responsible and flexible
Being flexible when all hands are needed
Common sense, initiative and a sense of humour will be important
