The job description
a typical day in resort
As a couple you work together to provide hosting and driving services to guests. The day starts with Breakfast from 0700- 0900 and driving lift transfers from 0815. From 1000-1400 is the minimum time off for skiing each day. Some days you will ski with guests showing them around the resort. Afternoon work starts up around 1500 with lift transfers back to the chalet, serving Après snacks and drinks, and then either dropping guests to restaurants or serving dinner in the chalet. The day wraps at 2130. You will be working a 6 day week so on top of the time off each working day you have a full day every week to hit the mountain.
Key Duties
Chalet Host
- Cook and serve breakfast and apres drinks/snacks
- Engage with guests and ensure their needs are being met whilst in the chalet
- Ensure the chalet is kept clean and tidy and that health and hygiene standards are met throughout the season. Assist with changeover days (our housekeeper does most of the cleaning).
- As required - Ski hosting with guests
- As required - Cook and serve dinner (half board weeks only)
Driver
- Drive guests in the chalet shuttle bus (morning afternoon, evening)
- Drive airport transfers
- As required - Ski hosting with guests
- As required - Assist with dinner preparations and serving (Half board weeks only)
Who are we looking for?

Personal attributes
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to use self-initiative and judgement
- Friendly and positive with an outgoing, but not overbearing, attitude.
- Able to related to people from different backgrounds
- Self - organized with good time management, and able maintain a schedule
- Clean and tidy
- Drivers' licence with good driving experience and clean record.
Ideally you will have:
- Previous ski chalet, hotel or hospitality/customer service experience
- Previous cooking experience, with willingness to try new dishes
- Skiing ability from intermediate to advance level.
- Permission to work in Slovakia (the EU)
