a typical day in resort
We are seeking a proactive and experienced domestic couple (ideally with chalet or yacht backgrounds). This is a unique role which is a great step for an experienced chalet management couple potentially looking to progress into year-round employment.
The domestic couple's role will cover housekeeping, cooking & maintenance duties with some driving and errands. Separate, private accommodation is provided.
The property is occupied by 2 principals (a couple) who visit throughout the summer, with occasional visits from adult children and other guests. A good understanding of maintenance is required for this role (eg. Care of a swimming pool, window cleaning, power washers etc.). An interest in surfing or watersports would be highly advantageous.
Start Date:
• Summer season to begin Mid-April to Mid-November 2026 with potential to move onto working at the family’s winter chalets, following a successful first summer season.
Training: 2-week UK-based handover.
Your Responsibilities
• Seasonal property preparation, including opening up and closing down.
• Daily housekeeping to exacting standards, including care of fine furnishings and fabrics
• Family cooking and occasional larger numbers
• Laundry and ironing services
• Household shopping and general errands
• Security systems and household technology management
• Light maintenance (bulbs, contractor coordination), car cleaning, pool maintenance and snow clearing.
• Being the main point of contact for contractors when onsite and being available to ensure safe access to property.
• Family transportation (slopes, airports, beaches)
• Administrative tasks including restaurant bookings and PA coordination

Essential Experience:
• Clear concise communication with wider team and family
• Proven experience working together as a couple, working autonomously with positive, helpful attitudes. Self-motivated with high energy levels.
• Relevant experience in summer holiday homes and/or ski chalets
• Deep understanding of luxury property maintenance and fine furnishing care
• Confident cook with visible cooking experience (menus will be vetted)
• Power Boat licence an advantage but not necessity
• (For winter) French speaking is a bonus but not necessity.
Practical Requirements:
• EU passport preferred for long-term candidates (UK candidates considered)
• Both must be confident drivers (vehicle provided)
• Valid GHIC required
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Minimum age 25.
Working Schedule:
• ~ typically 30-40 hours per week inc weekends, with flexibility required.
• Extended hours when family in residence. Days in lieu when family absent
