a typical day in resort

In the morning as chalet host you will prepare breakfast with a daily hot option ,bake a cake and organise preparation for the evening meal. After tidying the chalet the day is yours to enjoy on the mountain.

You will return to the chalet to complete preparation, and cook a delicious 3 course evening meal .As our kitchens are open plan we need you to be sociable and used to cooking in this environment.

At the end of the evening meal it is your responsibility to ensure the kitchen is cleaned and you are well organised for the following day, taking note of stock control and food orders.

Job Description Chalet Hosts/Cooks

Cooking: We look for candidates either with previous professional catering experience or have completed a cookery course. You will be expected to provide quality homemade breakfasts, afternoon tea including cakes and a three/four course evening meal to guests.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service putting the guest at the heart of everything you do. The role entails strong customer interaction throughout the week to ensure the guests feel welcome and thoroughly enjoy their stay.
Cleaning: You must maintain a spotless and presentable chalet throughout the week which includes daily cleaning of communal areas and bedrooms on working days. You will deep clean the chalet during changeover day. Chalets cleanliness is regularly monitored.
Flexibility: Your typical work morning involves starting at 7am to serve breakfast at 8am. Afterwards, you will prepare afternoon tea and the evening meal, as well as clean the communal areas and bedrooms and maintain the hot tub if applicable. In the evening you will prepare a three course meal. Each day varies so we require strong flexibility and willingness, with some days requiring more prep and receiving food and linen deliveries etc.
