Our service is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble and we have a lot of repeat guests. Our chalet hosts, year on year are some of the best in Morzine, so every season there are big boots to fill when we recruit a new team.
The Job Itself
We have some of the best-catered chalets in Morzine and an excellent reputation to go with it. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and service. In return, we offer a great package in a fun environment with like-minded people who support you.
Our catered chalet service means that on 5 days of the week, we produce tasty restaurant-style gastro food, serve quality handpicked wine and most importantly, we make our guests laugh and smile every day! We also provide welcome drinks and canapes, cooked breakfasts, freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea and a pick-up and drop off service to and from the slopes in one of our Landrovers or Minibuses.
As a chalet host you will be responsible for :
• Providing a “Dinner Party” experience 6 nights per week
• Being enthusiastic at all times and dedicating yourself to excellent customer service
• Providing cooked breakfasts and daily advice for the slopes
• Driving guests to and from the ski lifts
• Cleaning and maintaining your chalet
• Weekly changeovers and deep chalet cleans
• Maintaining Hot Tubs Daily
• Liaising with Transfer Companies, Ski Hire Companies and Ski Schools
• Accounts and Budget Responsibility
• Shopping & Stock Control
• Basic Chalet Maintenance
• Maintaining 5* Levels of Customer Feedback
At More Mountain, you have the autonomy to run your own chalet as if it was your own business. You are the face of More Mountain, delivering our company promise of a seamless chalet experience from the moment our guests arrive to the moment they leave, making them feel relaxed and welcome.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking interesting, dedicated, gregarious and professional staff. Ideally, you will have a passion for cooking, chatting to people and hosting dinner parties. You must be great at entertaining and be accommodating at all times and most importantly work really well together in what can often be a very pressurised and tiring environment.
We prefer applicants who take time and pride in their work and have lots of "life experience" to share around the dinner table or on the chair lift. Hence, we'd like you to be educated to degree level and have at least 4 years work experience in a commercial role where you have had to deal with people on a face to face basis regularly. Experience in customer-facing sales, marketing, PR or retail roles would be ideal as you have to be great at chatting to people and making conversation.
We do not require previous chalet or chef experience as full training will be provided, although if you have it, even better. Being smart, quick thinking, funny and a dab hand in the kitchen is essential as is a genuine love of food.
You must both hold a valid UK driving licence as you will need to drive an 8 seater minibus around the resort and both of you MUST be fit and healthy and MUST have some ski or snowboarding experience.
