It's not hard to have a great time out in the Alps, but choosing the right company can make a huge difference to your season. VIP SKI are a friendly, privately owned ski company with a great reputation for looking after our staff as well as our guests.
We operate a programme of catered up-market chalet holidays in 4 great resorts across France.

VIP SKI offer a range of service levels including Classic, CLUB, and Hotel meaning that we have a wide variety of jobs to choose from and offer a competitive package. We welcome individuals, couples and mature applicants. Candidates need to be available for training in November and employment lasts until April/May. Only those who have been paying UK National Insurance and have a permanent UK National Insurance number need apply.






a typical day in resort
No day is the same for the Maintenance team, but the role includes:
- Fixing any issues in guest and also staff accommodation - this could involve aspects of carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics, painting and decorating and repairing household appliances, plus diagnostics and repair of hot tubs, saunas, pools and steam rooms
- Basic chalet maintenance during guest occupation, which requires a tidy methodical way of working, professional guest interaction, and smart personal presentation
- Responding to maintenance emergencies and being on-call when required, as the first point of contact and fountain of knowledge!
- Following up on ongoing issues to ensure satisfactory solutions
- Communicating effectively with the Properties Manager, and other members of the maintenance team, regarding updates, progress and completion of tasks
- Liaising with, and supervision of, local third-party contractors
- Ensuring all company log books, paperwork, and online reporting / logging systems are being completed and updated - general computing skills required
- Overseeing the upkeep of the dedicated maintenance storage facilities, tools, and stock - plus any Company vehicles
- Being involved in the ongoing training of, and providing assistance for, our resort maintenance teams in other resorts when required
- Travelling between our resorts and to larger towns within the region, to collect / purchase maintenance supplies
- In-resort driving responsibilities, including driving guest carrying vehicles
- Assisting with snow clearing, deliveries, and other logistics-related tasks as required
- Ensuring all Company health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
what makes you the ideal candidate
- Must be self-motivated, with a strong work ethic, and superb communication skills - to manage and complete tasks independently
- An eye for detail and a passion for high end finishing and property presentation
- The ability and will to go the extra mile - eg: not just fixing, but identifying ongoing improvements
- Positive, flexible, can-do attitude - ability to think outside of the box
- We favour applications from those with previous experience and qualifications in carpentry, plumbing or electrics
- Must hold a full, clean driving licence, which you have held for at least two years
- Must be physically fit - the role is a very active one!
- Must have a smart appearance
- An understanding of / ability to converse in French would be an advantage, however is not essential
- Available to travel to London or Edinburgh prior to going out to resort, to obtain your work visa
