Working with Us

La Ferme du Lac Vert is an ideal place to work for those looking to enjoy a memorable winter season in the French Alps. We offer a unique opportunity to live and work in a stunning mountain setting while gaining valuable hospitality experience.

What truly sets us apart from other chalet companies is our commitment to delivering bespoke, high-end experiences for our guests. We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all, week-to-week product — each stay is thoughtfully tailored, whether it’s a luxury ski holiday, an intimate wedding, or a private retreat. This variety ensures no two weeks are the same, making every role within our team dynamic and rewarding.

You’ll be joining a close-knit, friendly, and professional team — many of whom return season after season. A standout aspect of working with us is the strong, supportive in-resort management team who are hands-on and available throughout the season. From comprehensive pre-season training to daily support and guidance, you’ll be well-equipped and encouraged every step of the way.

Whether you're starting out in hospitality or looking to elevate your career in a beautiful alpine setting, working with La Ferme du Lac Vert offers a truly rewarding and unforgettable experience.

typical day
The job description
a typical day in resort

Working as part of a close-knit and supportive team, this role is highly collaborative. Reporting to the Chalet Manager, you’ll work closely with chalet chefs and fellow hosts to deliver a seamless guest experience — from breakfast through to evening service.

The role involves split shifts, giving you plenty of free time during the day to enjoy time on the hill skiing or boarding. In addition to regular days off, you’ll often have mornings or evenings off, allowing a great work-life balance and ample opportunity to make the most of your time in the Alps.

A key part of your role includes daily chalet servicing — maintaining guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to our high standards, as well as completing regular deep cleans throughout the season. On changeover days, the team works together with a clear, professional approach to reset the chalet for new arrivals. These busy turnaround days are a shared effort, with every team member playing an important role in preparing the property to the highest standard. Full training is provided, and our structured systems ensure everyone feels supported and confident in delivering an exceptional guest welcome, every time.
